In this Question Line video, Jason answers the following question regarding coaxiality and concentricity:
What is the difference between concentricity and coaxiality? What is the ISO symbol for concentricity?
This video compares coaxiality, concentricity, and position as defined by the ISO 1101 standard.
Jason explains that the ISO standard treats concentricity as a unique subcategory of position and describes when it should be used. He also clarifies that the same symbol controls both coaxiality and concentricity, but to interpret it as concentricity, the ACS (All Cross Sections) symbol must also be included with the feature control frame.
The ASME Y14.5 interpretation of concentricity and coaxiality is very different from ISO and is not presented in this video.
